Heidi & Tom’s Wedding at Ballroom Veronique

I photographed Heidi and Tom’s marriage ceremony at the Trinity Chapel on the Boston College Law School campus Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007. Their reception was held at Ballroom Veronique in Brookline. Surprisingly enough, I didn’t notice anyone sneaking off to try to catch game 3 of the World Series. Maybe that’s because Tom is a Yankees fan, along with a number of others in attendance…..actually it was a great wedding, with a great band, Moments Notice, to keep people on their feet. Wedding portraits in the lobby at Ballroom Veronique, operated by Longwood Events, have an elegant, classic feel.

Working with two photographers allows for alternate angles of formal wedding portraits.

Patti & Mark’s Wedding at the Flag Hill Winery

I photographed Patti and Mark’s wedding and reception at the Flag Hill Winery Saturday October 20 in Lee, NH. Another wedding where luck was on our side. The ceremony was outdoors with the vineyards as a backdrop and nice late afternoon light. We managed to get done with formal photos just as dark clouds and rain came along. Fortunately the reception was in an enclosed tent attached to the winery, so no one got wet.

A private moment before the reception, bride and groom captured with a backdrop of Fall leaves.

These flower girls are perfect. Just old enough to understand their task, but still super cute!

These two little ones must be copying an image they saw somewhere of the groom sweeping the bride off her feet!

Flowers had a nice Fall feel and color to match.

Vineyards make great backgrounds for formal portraits, as Mark poses with his groomsmen. A fair number of people from out of state choose NH for a destination wedding in the Lakes Region for the Fall leaves and waterfront. But, a wedding at New Hampshire’s vineyards has a destination feel, like California or Italy.
Lorrie & Chris’s Wedding at the Highlander Inn

I photographed Lorrie and Chris’s wedding at St. Paul’s Church in Concord, NH Saturday, October 13 and then we headed over to the Highlander Inn in Manchester, NH for the reception. One of the pluses of having a wedding at the Highlander Inn is that it is right by Manchester Boston Regional Airport so people traveling to the wedding don’t have far to go and won’t have to rent a vehicle if they are just there for a day. The grounds have a rural feel-you wouldn’t know and you don’t feel like you are next to a major airport.

Lorrie arrives, bridesmaid in tow, for her wedding ceremony.

I was happy to capture this detail photo of Chris dancing with a little girl at the wedding reception. He’s quite tall, so the extra boost of her standing on his shoes was more for a free ride than for matching stature!
