Boston and New Hampshire wedding and portrait photographer Kevin Jacobus goes to great lengths to photograph many combinations of family portraits at weddings, knowing some family members have traveled long and far and often at considerable expense for a major family event. We find however, that after all the weddings are done and people are building a family, often getting everyone together in one place is a challenge for family events, let alone a family portrait. We suggest families take advantage of vacations, holidays, and any other time for family gatherings and take an hour out of their day for family portraits. Let it be an annual activity to capture all the new additions and for each family group to build a collection of photographic keepsakes through the years.
