FAQ

What areas do you serve?
Most of our events take place in southern New Hampshire and the Boston area.  We do find ourselves covering events in Rhode Island, Vermont, Maine and Connecticut each year, and we are able to create multi-day coverage packages for customers having destination weddings with welcome home receptions.

How do you identify your primary photographic style?
Primarily photojournalistic style with traditional and artistic elements to round out the overall experience.

Please describe any special techniques you offer:
Sepia, B/W, and special toning effects are readily available upon request in addition to extras like custom touch up or blemish removal.  We also spend a portion of our portrait time at each wedding creating portraits using special lighting effects or high-dynamic range (HDR) photography, a process that involves making several exposures and blending them using post-processing techniques for one-of-a-kind signature photographs.

Which lighting situations do you have experience with?
Indoor, outdoor, night, mixed lighting sources (incandescent, tungsten, flourescent, candlelight, etc) are taken into account and used for effect or corrected with filters or professional lighting equipment for optimum effect.

Do shoot film or digital?
Digital only.

How many photographers do you work with?
Depending on the package selected 1 or 2 photographers are always available.  We’ve had as many as four team members at a wedding when the service level has needed it- 2 photographers, a videographer and an assistant.

Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one wedding in a day?
One wedding per day, per photographer.

Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the wedding day?
Yes, we have several photographers so we can handle any emergency.  We’re also a member of several local and national photographer organizations so we have access to a network of accomplished professionals if ever the need arises.

What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
Multiple professional SLR digital cameras, light stands, flashes, radio transmitters for triggering lights, assorted filters, extra batteries and plenty of compact flash cards with the capacity to hold thousands of images.

Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Absolutely yes.

Do you charge hourly or full day?
All packages can be completely customized based on hours of coverage or signature service for full day coverage

Do you require a meal break? If yes, do you require that the wedding party provide your meal?
Yes to both questions.  We take a short break during dinner so you and your guests can enjoy their meals.  We simply consider this part of the compensation for a job well done, and everyone works better at the end of a long and exciting day after having a meal and a break.

How many breaks do you usually take throughout the day?
One meal break.

Do you charge for travel?
Travel is included within a 75 mile radius of Nashua, NH. Inquire when booking for travel charges outside that area.

Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Yes. We find clients are most confused about copyright, which is understandable-it’s a complicated topic with lots of misunderstandings about copyright laws.  To put it simply though, as part of any package, a personal use license is issued which allows our clients all the use and rights they would normally need.

Will images be available for viewing on an online gallery?
Yes, this is always included with every package.

What kind of albums do you offer?
By far, our clients prefer our flush-mount albums which are photographic prints from digitally-designed layouts that are mounted to the edge of our museum-quality albums printed on acid-free archival stock.  We do provide matted albums as well.  All sorts of album cover choices are available, such as many colors and textures of leather, brushed metal, and clear acrylic photo covers.  Customers are able to choose their own images and approve the album design before it is printed, mounted and bound.

When will I get the final book?

Allow 3-4 months for design, client approval, printing, binding and shipping.
