Kim & Richard’s Engagement Session at Nubble Lighthouse
On Sunday August 29, I headed to York, Maine to meet up with Kim and Richard to photograph them for their engagement portraits. We concentrated our efforts around the Nubble Lighthouse on Cape Neddick, which is a popular tourist spot, so it takes a bit of creativity to keep random people out of the frame. But, there’s a tourist information building which has facilities so that they could do an outfit change for some variety. Nice couple, nice day, nice way to spend an afternoon. I headed to the beach afterwards!

Allison & Gavin’s Engagement Session Along the Charles River in Boston
Just a quick addition to the blog of Gavin and Allison’s engagement portrait session along the Charles River in Boston. I photographed their engagement portraits and was the photographer for a Boston wedding later in the day. They had the lucky numbers this year with a 10-10-10 wedding. Engagement Session Gallery
An engagement session is a 1 hour photography experience celebrating the beginning of the journey of wedding planning. Often the first time a couple has been professionally photographed together, scheduling an engagement portrait session is a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera and to get to know your photographer. In addition to prints and gallery wrap canvas, a DVD slideshow set to music along with a link to share on social networks like Facebook are available in addition to photo guest books, signature boards, and a variety of photos provided by the photo shoot can be used for your Save the Date cards.
Eric and Missy’s engagement sessions: Newport, RI and Quincy, MA
I had the opportunity to photograph a couple outfit changes and locations for Missy and Eric’s engagement photos. Their wedding is at the Newport, RI Hyatt Regency next July. They wanted some photos with the lighthouse by the Hyatt for their save-the-date cards. Eric also wanted to incorporate his hand-washed and polished Corvette, so of course I had to oblige! On another day, we headed to Wollaston Beach in Quincy as well as Marina Bay too. All told, they were great to work with and we got a great variety of environmental backdrops which will make for a nice photo guest book on their wedding day!
Stephanie & Rob
I photographed an engagement session with Stephanie and Rob at the Arnold Arboretum in the Jamaica Plain neighborhood of Boston Nov. 1, 2008. I’m shooting their wedding at the Boston Park Plaza in July. Stephanie works for the Museum of Science, which also hosts wedding receptions.
Tiffany and Jeff’s Engagement Session at The Granite Rose
I shot an engagement session with Tiffany and Jeff June 3rd during a planning meeting for their upcoming wedding at The Granite Rose in Hampstead. They used a photo from the session for a signature board at their wedding as guests entered.
Courtney and Steve’s Engagement Session in Portland
Well, I’m finally back to the blog! I’ve been super busy, thankfully, and that has resulted in me neglecting my blog a tad bit. So this is the first in a series of posts I’ll be making to update you on my activities in the last few months. Then I can get to some other topics. First off, here’s a few pictures of Courtney and Steve’s engagement I shot in March. I’m shooting their wedding Nov 29th at the First Parish Congregational Church in Saco with the reception at the Sable Oaks Marriott in South Portland, Maine.
