The ladies got ready at a rented home on Plum Island in Newburyport, MA and we were able to head to the beach after for some photos before the ceremony. I had my associate Nicolaus with me and he photographed the guys getting ready at The Garrison Inn in Newburyport. They all headed down to the boardwalk in Newburyport Harbor for some photographs of the guys.

I did a little bit of painting with light, which involves uses a flashlight and a long shutter speed for some of the portraits.

I knew a few folks there–Jill’s maid of honor, Marisa, and her husband Paul were engagement session clients months before. Jill’s father was my high school track coach and so it was a small world to be hired by them. We had a great year shooting engagements and their wedding. Jill has sent a lot of clients my way and for that I’m thankful! I promised to be her family photographer if she’d let me!
