Sarah and Jon’s Wedding at The Granite Rose

Sarah and Jon’s Wedding at The Granite Rose

Sarah and Jon were married at the First Congregational Church in Methuen, MA, followed by a reception at The Granite Rose in Hampstead, NH, Sunday June 29. It was hot and humid, so everyone was glad to get inside following formal photos. Later, we had quite a thunderstorm that almost stopped the music–power flickered a bit and everyone held their breath for a moment.

Jennifer and Mike’s Wedding at the Executive Court in Manchester

Jennifer and Mike’s Wedding at the Executive Court in Manchester

Jenn and Mike were married at the Brookside Congregational Church in Manchester, NH June 28. Their reception was held at the Executive Court, also in Manchester. I’ve included some photos of humorous reactions– take a look at the baby photo, and also the one of Mike after a sip of champagne– I gather it’s not his favorite drink! I got a kick out of one of the staff members at the Executive Court–she got into the action by joining the conga line on her way from clearing a table!

Home Hill Inn Wedding Photo Shoot

Home Hill Inn Wedding Photo Shoot

I recently had a photo shoot at the Home Hill Inn in Plainfield, NH. The inn recently re-opened under new management and has started doing weddings, and we were doing the photography for their brochures. They are well known for their cuisine; I’m sure they’ll soon be for weddings too– the inn is beautiful and the grounds are expansive and stunning for an outdoor, tented wedding. I photographed the executive chef’s wedding there in September. I had the opportunity to eat there too- duck, scallops, filet mignon and banana cream pie for lunch. That’s not all either. Yes, it was amazing! Here’s a few photographs from the shoot….

A Celtic Handfasting Ceremony

A Celtic Handfasting Ceremony

I photographed Brad and Jennifer’s Celtic handfasting May 1, 2008 in Center Harbor, NH. This will probably rank as one of the more unusual weddings I’ll shoot — all the guests wore period costumes and the event included a jousting tournament. No one got seriously hurt. Kidding of course…..The caterer was Hart’s Turkey Farm out of Meredith. They are awesome! This is the second time I’ve been able to partake in their offerings. The first was after I climbed Mt. Washington for Seek the Peak 2007, a hike-a-thon to raise funds for the Mt. Washington Observatory.

Patti & Mark’s Wedding at the Flag Hill Winery

Patti & Mark’s Wedding at the Flag Hill Winery

I photographed Patti and Mark’s wedding and reception at the Flag Hill Winery Saturday October 20 in Lee, NH. Another wedding where luck was on our side. The wedding was outdoors with the vineyards as a backdrop and nice late afternoon light. We managed to get done with formal photos just as dark clouds and rain came along. Fortunately the reception was in an enclosed tent attached to the winery, so no one got wet.

Mark & Crystal’s Wedding at the Victoria Inn

Mark & Crystal’s Wedding at the Victoria Inn

I photographed Mark and Crystal’s wedding August 18 at the Victoria Inn in Hampton, NH. We lucked out with the early timing of this wedding. After the reception we headed down to Hampton Beach for a few more photographs and the timing was perfect to capture the purple-blue hues on the water and in the sky.
