I dodged some rain showers driving from Nashua on the way to photograph a Boston wedding August 22, 2009. We lucked out with sun as Chris and Caitlin’s wedding got under way at St. Raphael Parish in Medford, MA. Their reception followed at the Seaport Hotel’s City View Ballroom in Boston. As a surprise for their guests and to pay homage to their Irish heritage, they hired Irish step dancers to perform and the group of dancers encouraged everyone to join in at the end!

Vendors: Dress by Henry Roth from Yolanda’s, (which is no more) tuxedos from Russo’s, music by the band K2, hair by Dellaria Salon in Lexington and makeup by Anya’s Spa in Lexington. The floral designer was TF Murphy Florist, Irish step dancers from the Dunleavy Shaffer School, cocktail hour Irish fiddler Julie Metcalf, Konditor Meister for the cake, and RC’s Grand Coach & Limousine Service for transportation.

I photographed Caitlin and Chris for their engagement session at Harvard Yard and along the Charles River on the Cambridge side. I’m photographing their wedding in August. They’re both Harvard grads, hence the setting. They’re having their wedding reception at the Seaport Hotel.
